Mars Hill Farm is a 100-acre regenerative farm and ranch located just south of Dallas/Fort Worth, founded on a vision to exalt God and love others through the stewardship of creation. Its name reflects both its hilltop location on Mars Road and a deeper inspiration from the first-century site in Athens devoted to dialogue and community. In 2015, the Farr family envisioned a space that could support and employ UN refugees resettling in the Dallas/Fort Worth area. Groundbreaking began in 2017 with the first refugee gardens and structures, and over time, the Schwarz and Herb families joined the partnership, bringing new connections, management expertise, and a shared commitment to creating a farm that serves the land, animals, and people alike.

Today, Mars Hill Farm grows flowers, vegetables, and livestock using regenerative, holistic practices that prioritize the flourishing of life from the macro to the micro. We do not rely on chemical fertilizers, medications, or worming agents. Instead, we use rotational grazing, cover crops, composting, and integrated livestock management to build healthy soil, biodiversity, and resilient ecosystems. Every animal on the farm, from cattle and sheep to pigs and laying hens, plays a vital role in maintaining the balance of the land while helping to restore it.

Beyond food production, Mars Hill Farm is a place for connection and learning. We host community events, educational classes, and farm experiences that invite visitors to slow down, engage with the land, and reconnect with where their food comes from. Our mission has expanded to welcome anyone seeking to explore a new path of stewardship, care, and connection.

At the heart of everything we do is a love for seeing life flourish in the land, in the animals, and in the people who visit. Mars Hill Farm is more than a farm. It is a living example of what is possible when we work with nature instead of against it, cultivating not only food, but relationships, community, and hope for the future.
